EU-UN partnerships in crisis management and peace operations: best practices and next steps – Seminar 1
On 22 October 2014, the first of three high-level seminars on EU-UN cooperation took place under the Italian presidency of the European Union in Rome. The event, which is part of a series of activities coorganised with the EUISS on EU-UN cooperation in crisis management, brought together EU and UN senior officials, representatives from EU member states and relevant think tanks. The meeting provided an opportunity to take stock of best practices and lessons learnt from the EU’s support and contribution to UN peace-keeping missions’, in particular in terms of military capabilities.
